To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back, Lego has released a new version of Slave 1 and other famous Star Wars vessels. Before you commit to purchasing this unique Lego model, I have reviewed both the content and quality of the Lego Slave 1 2010 as well as reviewing the most competitive pricing available.
Lego is one of those classic toys which has grown over the generations. This is mainly due to its high-quality manufacturing, which delivers a long-lasting and durable toy as well as Lego’s great ability to continually create exciting and enjoyable toys. For young and old it is always certain to provide hours of creative fun and is fantastic for brain development.
What does Slave 1 include?
The Lego Slave 1 2010 is a set designed with wonderful detailing which encourages the builder to complete it and start playing as soon as possible. You will find many compartments which open and close, a long and short blaster, a boarding ramp, a cargo hold and stickers which enhance the overall look of Slave 1. One exciting addition are the missile launchers and missiles that, with the push of a button, shoot out of the vessel. Once fully completed, this model is very solid and holds together extremely well.
This set includes three mini-figurines and they are an excellent addition to this model. The bounty hunter, Boba Fett has been accessorized with a jetpack, a cape and a helmet that has movable antennae. You can choose to encase Han Solo in the carbonite, or any other mini-figurine if you wish. Bossk, the lizard-like bounty hunter created for the Lego Star Wars games, is also included which is much appreciated, because you can never have enough bounty hunters when playing Star Wars games with your Lego figurines.
Should I purchase now?
In a relatively short space of time, Lego will discontinue the production of Slave 1 2010, as all of their sets are created as limited editions. Slave 1 will most certainly become a collector’s item which will only be found on websites such as eBay, and sold at inflated prices. If you enjoy building Lego and love collecting certain Lego models and themes, I highly recommend purchasing it now rather than waiting.
How best to purchase online?
There are currently a number of online stores which are offering competitive sales and discounts pricing on the Lego Slave 1 2010. When shopping for this item online it is important to be aware of the following issue; the published sale price is not the only price you need to consider. Some businesses will display a very cheap price to attract your interest, but once you start adding in any inflated shipping and handling costs to your shopping cart, you might get a nasty price shock. I recommend shopping with a provider who clearly publishes their shipping costs to your location.
Slave 1 is certainly a wonderful addition to the Lego Star Wars range, will look spectacular once built, and will not disappoint with its high quality design.
